Hi friends! I’m Tara.
A born & raised Utah girl, but currently loving her time living in the South! The southern charm here in Kentucky is everything to me! I believe beauty should be low-maintenance, especially our haircare routine.
One of the beauty secrets I’ve always sworn by in the hair department is a satin pillowcase.
THE INSPO
Inspired by Beauty Lost in Time.
The name Dottie Diane is so tender to me. My grandma’s name was Dorothy Diane, she was stylish, chic, & knew all the good things. (Also an avid Diet Coke drinker, like I said she knew all the good things) The older generations had it figured out in all things beautiful - it’s why we’re so obsessed with all things antique & vintage! It’s the needlepoint everything, fabulous china dishes, jewelry boxes, & lipstick holders. You know what I’m saying everything they owned was beautiful & beautifully made.
Plus, they say that your business is your baby. I loved the name Dottie for a little girl & my husband wasn’t sold. No worries though because Dottie Diane was born quickly after ;)
THE SPARKS
Dreams Turned Reality.
In late 2022, I found a satin pillowcase that was my grandma’s. It was soft, clean, & beautiful. Not to mention it had her initials embroidered into it. I searched HIGH and LOW online for a satin pillowcase that matched its beauty & had no luck!
I took it upon myself to create one just as beautiful for everyone to have! After months of trial & error in producing the perfect pillowcase we launched in December of 2024.
